The "Aviation Occurrence Investigation Law", in its official language, was issued via ROC′s presidential order No. 09300102381 on June 2, 2004. This law consists of five chapters with 38 articles, providing the rules, responsibilities, and conditions in conducting the investigation of civil aircraft, state-owned aircraft, and ultra-light aircraft occurrence.

The " Aviation Occurrence Operating and Handling Procedures", of this new law is current underway. The Aviation Safety Council will hold public hearings during the month of September and October 2004.
