Dr. Kay Yong, Chairman of the Aviation Safety Council, and Director General of Civil Aeronautics Administration Mr. Billy Chang today sign Memorandum of Understanding between the two organizations. The main objective of the MOU is to specify the joint co-operation, coordination & communication procedures.

According to article 37 of the Aviation Occurrence Investigation Act “when the execution by the ASC of the power and duties specified by this act will affect the powers and duties of other authorities and /or organizations, the ASC shall establish coordination procedures and mechanism with authorities and/or organizations concerned.” Main topics of the MOU include flight occurrences and incident notification, coordination, cooperation and resources sharing.

The Aviation Safety Council and CAA will work together; with continuing their previous positive interaction and communication during occurrence investigation to enhance aviation safety.
