Mandarin Airlines Flight AE 369 Occurrence Initial Report

On August 17, 2012, Mandarin Airlines passengers Flight 369, aircraft model ERJ-190, registration number B-16852, took off from SongSan Airport for Magong Airport. After landing on Runway 20 at 21:27, the aircraft deviate from the runway and stopped on the grass. The aircraft sustained substantial damage and all people on board were safe.

Aviation Safety Council was informed about the occurrence and immediately launched an on-scene team when the airport was opened. Flight crew were interviewed; cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder were removed from the aircraft and ATC data were collected. The team also conducted runway service inspection, aircraft tire mark measurements, aircraft damage inspection and data collection. ASC has determined the event is an aviation occurrence defined by the “Aviation Occurrence Act”. The Investigator-In-Charge and the investigation team has been assigned to this investigation.
