China Airlines Flight CI 6416 Occurrence Initial Report
On March 31, 2014, China Airlines cargo flight 6416,aircraft model  B747-400, registration B-18721, took off from Abu Dhabi International  Airport for Taoyuan International Airport. Around 2004 Taipei local  time, the aircraft right wing landing gear veered off the 23R runway  during landing roll, after about 570 feet rolling, the aircraft back to  the runway. After occurrence inspection found that five runway edge  lights, one taxiway lights and the aircraft right wing landing gear were  damaged, all people aboard were safe.
After receiving the  notification, the Aviation Safety Council (ASC) launched the on-scene  team to the airport. Flight crew were interviewed; cockpit voice  recorder and flight data recorder were removed from the aircraft for  further investigation; ATC data were collected. ASC determine the event  is an aviation occurrence defined by the “Aviation Occurrence Act”. The  Investigator-In-Charge and an investigation team has been assigned to  this investigation.
