On February 20, 2016, a private ultra-light vehicle, manufacturer Italy ICP model Super Bingo, made a forced landing on a dry riverbed of Wu Kai approximately 21 km south from Taichung Airport at around 03:00PM. The vehicle was destroyed by the impact. According to witnesses, two people aboard left the vehicle by themselves after the forced landing.

After receiving the notification, the Aviation Safety Council （ASC） launched the go team headed to the site on February 21, 2016. The team performed evidence collection tasks including witnesses interviews, site survey and wreckage inspection etc.
