Aviation Safety Council and Chinese Ocean & Underwater Technology Association signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

Chairman Dr. Hwung-Hweng Hwung of Aviation Safety Council (ASC) also serves a concurrent post as Chairman of Chinese Ocean & Underwater Technology Association (COUTA). During the past, Dr. Hwung always devoted to promote cooperation between the aviation industry, government and academia. On April 26, 2016, under witness of Chairman Hwung and COUTA Honorary Chairman Dr. Ding-Hsun Hsiao, ASC and COUTA signed the Memorandum of Understanding. The purpose of the MOU is to enhance Taiwan’s underwater occurrence investigation technology, in addition, the signing of MOU once again lay the foundation for future cooperation between the academia and government agencies.

The content of the MOU includes the overall sea (underwater) search strategic plan, occurrence investigation resources, sea/underwater research on the searching of the black box, and assist to promote the sea occurrence drill.

In the future, both parties shall establish a research and exchange model targeting the issues above. ASC will benefit from more available resources through the professional technical support and assistance of COUTA, thereby enhancing the efficiency of underwater occurrence investigation.
