APEX Flight Academy DA-40NG Occurrence Initial Report

On May 5, 2016, APEX Flight Academy, flight AFA21, a DA-40NG trainer aircraft, registration B-88002, took off at 0802 Taipei local time from Fongnian Airport for a training flight mission. The aircraft bounced on the runway 22 during landing roll at 0901, resulted in nose wheel collapsed. The aircraft sustained damage. There was no injury.

After receiving the notification, the Aviation Safety Council confirmed the event is an occurrence in accordance with the "Aviation Occurrence Investigation Act". The Investigator-In-Charge and an investigation team has been assigned to this investigation. The on-scene team completed initial flight crew interviews, on board memory card download, site survey, measurements, and airport initial data collection.
