On March 11, 2017, a private ultra-light vehicle, the STORCH model manufactured by FLY SYNTHESIS SRL, Italy, crashed at around 5 PM on a rice field located at the nearby end of a private flight field runway in Pito Village, Changhua County. The vehicle was destroyed and the on board operator was wounded and sent to a hospital.

After receiving the notification, the Aviation Safety Council launched the go team headed to the crash site on March 12, 2017. The team performed evidence collection tasks including witness and operator interviews, and site survey etc.

Further information related to the occurrence will be published after the completion of the investigation.
