Daily Air Corp. B-55571 Occurrence Initial Report

On April 13, 2017, Daily Air Corp. flight DA7511, a DHC-6-400 airplane, registration number B-55571 took off at 1610 Taipei local time from Tatung airport for a scheduled passenger flight to Lanyu airport. The aircraft veered off runway 13 and hit the barrier on one side of the airport during landing roll at 1633. The aircraft sustained substantial damage. On board 2 flight crews, 1 maintenance personnel and 16 passengers were all safe.

The Aviation Safety Council (ASC) after receiving the Tatung airport notification has determined the event is an aviation occurrence defined by the “Aviation Occurrence Act”. The Investigator-In-Charge has been assigned to this investigation. The investigation team had completed the Cockpit Voice Recorder/ Flight Data Recorder removal, flight crew interview, site survey, and viewing the airport facilities.
