On January 6, 2018, an ultra-light vehicle crashed around 3:30 PM on a beach near 104.7 Km of provincial Highway 11, Taitung. The vehicle was destroyed and the on board 2 operators were no injury.

After receiving the notification, the Aviation Safety Council launched the go team headed to the police station near the crash site to perform operator interviews. The team then performed crash site measurement and evidence collection on January 7, 2018.
