Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation H-335 Occurrence Initial Report
On March 15, 2018, Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation (AIDC), an Astra-SPX (Gulfstream G100) airplane, registration number B-20001, performed a target towing mission with 2 pilots and 2 target-towing machine operators on board. After finishing mission, the airplane returned to Taichung Airport and performed an ILS runway 36 approach. It veered off runway and hit the runway edge light during landing roll. The airplane sustained minor damage. On board 2 pilots and 2 target-towing machine operators were all safe.
After receiving the notification from Taichung Airport, the Aviation Safety Council (ASC) has determined the event as an aviation occurrence defined by the“Aviation Occurrence Act”. The Investigator-In-Charge has been assigned to this investigation. The investigation team has completed the flight recorders download, flight crew interview and site survey.
