On July 8, 2018, an ultra-light vehicle, took off from Riguang airfield of Hualien County at 1704, crashed at 1712 on North side of the west bank of Yuemei Bridge. The vehicle was destroyed and the 2 persons on board were wounded and sent to a hospital.

After receiving the notification, the Aviation Safety Council launched the go team headed to the crash site. The team performed evidence collection tasks including witness interview, and site survey.

Further information related to the occurrence will be published after the completion of the investigation.
