Far Eastern Air Transport Flight FE3060 Occurrence Initial Report
On April 20, 2019, Far Eastern Air Transport passengers flight FE3060, an ATR72-600 aircraft, registration number B-28082, took off from Penghu Airport for Taichung Airport. The aircraft veered off runway of Taichung Airport during landing at 2119. The aircraft had no damage and all 76 people on board were safe.
After receiving the notification, the Aviation Safety Council (ASC) immediately launched an on-scene team heading to Taichung Airport. The on-scene team performed flight crew interviews, aircraft system test, removed Cockpit Voice Recorder and Flight Data Recorder, weather and airport information collection. In accordance with the Aviation Occurrence Investigation Act and referencing to ICAO Annex 13, the ASC identified the event was an aviation occurrence. The Investigator-In-Charge and investigation team were assigned to proceed the following investigation.
