The Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) releases final report on the investigation of B-AAA01403 Drone Occurrence.

On June 17, 2020, the AXH-E230RS drone with the registration number B-AAA01403, owned by the Southern Branch of Coast Guard Administration, lost control and crashed into the waters in front of the North Dike of Anping Fishing Port while operating in the west of Anping Fishing Port in Anping District, Tainan City. The drone fell into the sea and disappeared without any casualties.

According to the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act of the Republic of China, and referring to Annex 13 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, the TTSB, an independent transportation occurrence investigation agency, started the investigation. In this investigation, due to the drone crashing into the sea and missing, the factual information is insufficient to determine the cause of the occurrence and make suggestions for improvement. The Final Report was reviewed and approved by TTSB’s 14th Board Meeting on August 7, 2020.

The final report is in Chinese only and available for download at http://www.ttsb.gov.tw
