Kaohsiung port registry SIN YU PU NO.36 fishing boat major marine occurrence initial report.

On August 21, 2019, a Kaohsiung port registry fishing boat SIN YU PU NO.36, gross tonnage of 89.63, registration number CT4-2487, foundered at offshore of Wanggong, Changhua County, due to a suspected collision with a cargo vessel. One onboard crewmember of SIN YU PU NO.36 was severe injury and the other 5 crewmembers were suffered minor injuries.

The Taiwan Transportation Safety Board(TTSB)identified that this event was a major marine occurrence per the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act and refer to the Casualty Investigation Code of International Maritime Organization(IMO).The Investigator-In-Charge was assigned, and an investigation team was launched to conduct the investigation.
