On 10th July 2022, at about 0550 hours, the bulk carrier, FEDERAL SW (IMO No. 9443815), contacted an armor block in Hoping Port during the entrance and subsequently grounded. The forepeak tank and ballast tank of the ship were damaged during the occurrence.

The Taiwan Transportation Safety Board （TTSB） identified that this event was a marine casualty in according with the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act and referenced the Casualty Investigation Code of the International Maritime Organization（IMO）. The Investigator-In-Charge was assigned, and an investigation team was launched to conduct the investigation.
