On February 16, 2025, at 7:58, a tourist bus operated by Long Tai Transportation Ltd. rear-ended another tourist bus operated by Hua Jin Transportation Ltd., which then continued to push and ram a passenger car at the intersection of County Highway 159 and County Highway 166 in Xingang Township, Chiayi County. 27 occupants were injured in the occurrence.

After receiving the notification, the Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) immediately dispatched 3 investigators to the field to gather information in accordance with the investigation procedures. The Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) classified the event as a highway occurrence per the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act. The Investigator-In-Charge was assigned, and an investigation team was launched to conduct the investigation.
