At 10:54 on March 10, 2025, the caboose of freight train No. 7501 operated by Taiwan Railway Corporation (TRC) derailed on the west line between Shuangxi and Sandiaoling Station. There were no casualties in this occurrence.

After receiving the notification, the Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) dispatched 5 investigators accompanied with the staff of Railway Bureau, MOTC and TRC heading to the scene to collect evidence and relevant information. The TTSB identified this event as a railway occurrence following the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act. The Investigator-In-Charge was assigned and an investigation team was launched to conduct the investigation.
