Compared with other nations, how is our country's aircraft accident rate?
The average global hull loss rate of Western countries made turbo-jet aircrafts of which the maximum take-off weight is 15,000 kg or more for every 10 years decreased gradually from 0.61/1,000,000 flight hours 1993-2002 to 0.30/1,000,000 flight hours 2004-2013. As for our country, during the same period the hull loss rate dropped from 1.9/1,000,000 flight hours to 0.17/1,000,000 flight hours, which is lower than the global average, 0.30/1,000,000 flight hours, as shown in the figure below.
The 10 years average global hull loss rate of Western countries made turbo-jet aircrafts like the maximum take-off weight over 15,000 kg decreased gradually from 1.2/1,000,000 departures 1993-2002 to 0.61/1,000,000 departures 2004-2013. As for our country, during the same period the hull loss rate dropped from 4.10/1,000,000 departures to 0.58/1,000,000 departures, which is lower than the global average, 0.61/1,000,000 departure hours, as shown in the figure below.
