The Aviation Safety Council proposes improvement suggestions based on its occurrence investigation results. How does it track the implementation of related improvement measures?
According to Article 27 of “Aviation Occurrence Investigation Act”: “The concerned government authorities shall submit a management report to the Executive Yuan within ninety days after receipt of the aviation occurrence investigation report and send a copy to the ASC. The report shall contain detailed and feasible plans responding to the aviation safety recommendations that are considered practicable. Detailed reasons shall also be stated to those recommendations considered impracticable. The implementation plans shall be supervised by the Executive Yuan and tracked by the ASC. Should any government authorities fail to comply with the aviation safety recommendations within appropriate time and fail to rectify the shortcomings, the Executive Yuan shall impose appropriate sanctions.”
