The laws and regulations that are the bases for the Aviation Safety Council to carry out the aviation occurrence investigation include:

  1. Aviation Occurrence Investigation Act

    The Aviation Occurrence Investigation Act was promulgated on June 2, 2004 and amended on June 18, 2014, containing five chapters and 38 sections.

  2. The Regulation Governing the Handling of Investigation Procedures for Aviation Occurrence for Civil and Public Aircraft Occurrence" and "The Regulation Governing the Handling of Investigation Procedures for Ultra-light Vehicle Occurrence", were promulgated on December 21, 2004 and amended on November 20, 2014.

  3. International Civil Aviation Organization Annex 13 (ICAO Annex 13)

    Though our country is not a member state of the ICAO, “The Aviation Occurrence Investigation Act”, and "The Regulation Governing the Handling of Investigation Procedures for Civil and Public Aircraft Occurrence" and the Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) for aviation occurrence investigation were enacted referring to the standards and recommended practices of ICAO Annex 13.
