At 2011hours, on February 24, 2019, a Keelung - registered cement carrier “TA HO”, with a gross tonnage of 9037, IMO registration number 9073440, the fire alarm of whole ship was activated. At 2013 hours, the Captain ordered to shut down main engines. After the chief engineer confirmed that four generators were shut down, closed the quick-closing valve and ventilation baffle, and he evacuated all engineers of engine room, at about time 2014 to released the fixed carbon dioxide system to extinguish the fire . About 2033 hours, the fire was extinguished then the vessel lost power totally. The accident caused a fire on the main floor of the engine room, caused burning damage to No. 1 generator, No. 2 generator and the surrounding area of the floor, there were three of pulse absorbers of oil pipe were ruptured. All of 22 crew members on board were safe, no oil pollution in this occurrence.
