A Tung Yong Acetone Mixture Tractor Trailer Overturned on Zhubei Section of National Highway No.1
Description
On June 14th, 2023, at about 04:44 AM, a tractor of Tung Yong Transportation Co., Ltd. plate #KLG-6305, carrying an acetone mixture trailer, overturned at 90.4km on north bound lane of National Highway No.1 as it collided with the guiderail at the right. Resulting the leakage of acetone mixture and exposing fire immediately. The driver was sustained minor injuries due to this occurrence.
Stage
The Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) received the notification at about 06:48 AM on the same day, and immediately dispatched 3 investigators to the scene to perform evidence collection, conducting personnel interview as well as collecting relevant information. The TTSB identified that this event was a highway occurrence following the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act. The relevant evidence collection and follow-up investigation will be continued.
