A Yu Feng Tourist Bus Rear-Ended Another Tourist Bus in Suao Tunnel of Provincial Highway No. 9
Description
On October 4th, 2023, at about 15:15 local time, a tourist bus of Yu Feng Transportation Co., Ltd. plate #KAF-066, rear-ended on Well Bus International Co., Ltd. plate #KAE-267 at about 104.2 km on north bound lane of Province Highway No. 9. Resulting 19 passengers sustained minor injury.
Stage
The Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) received the notification at about 16:20 local time on the same day, and immediately dispatched 4 investigators to the scene to perform evidence collection, conducting personnel interview. The TTSB identified that this event was a major highway occurrence following the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act. The relevant evidence collection and follow-up investigation will be continued.
