A Joy Tourist Bus Striking a Roadside Heavy Truck on Rong'an Road, Luzhu District, Taoyuan City
Description
On March 20, 2026, about 06:43 p.m., a tourist bus operated by Joy Transportation Co., Ltd. was traveling southbound on Rong’an Road toward Changrong Road in Luzhu District, Taoyuan City, when it struck a parked heavy truck operated by Yuantai Transportation Co., Ltd. on the roadside. As a result of the crash, 19 occupants sustained injuries.
Stage
Upon receiving notification of the occurrence, the Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) immediately dispatched three investigators to the site to collect information in accordance with the procedures for investigating highway occurrences. This event was identified by the TTSB as a highway occurrence in accordance with the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act. An official investigation has been launched and the investigation team will continue to collect relevant evidence.
