At about 12:27, May 10, 2023, Trainset 03/04, the EMU train of the Taichung Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (TMRT), departed from Beitun Main Station to HSR Taichung Station, struck a fallen crane boom on the track between Fongle Park Station and Daqing Station. There was 1 fatality and 15 injuries in this occurrence.
