Description
On September 24, 2025, the New Tze-Chiang Express Train No. 423 of Taiwan Railway Corporation, Ltd. departed from Xinzuoying Station in Kaohsiung City and bound for Shulin Station in New Taipei City. At 13:33, the train struck a rockfall on the track between Shanli Station and Luye Station in Taitung County, causing the derailment of the first and second axles of the first car. There were no casualties in this occurrence.
