Description

At 0933 local time, July 11th, 2008, a Bell UH-1H helicopter, code name NA-518, operated by the National Airborne Service Corps, Ministry of the Interior, from Hualien Airport to the local training field. During the training programs, the helicopter was lift-off from ground about 15 ft high, airspeed about 20 knots, the aural warning sounded, and both of master warning light and low rpm warning light illuminated, engine rpm indication dropped form 6600 to 5900. Pilot lifted the collect lever to full range, the helicopter hard landed on the ground, damaged the skids and the belly of fuselage.
