Description

On October 2, 2008 at 1258 Thailand local time (Coordinated Universal Time, UTC 0558), China Airlines (CAL) Flight CI641, a 747-400 (bearing ROC Registration Number B-18202),encountered turbulence during cruising at an altitude of 40,000 feet at 128NM north east of Bangkok International Airport. The aircraft was on a scheduled passenger flight from Hong Kong International Airport, Hong Kong to Bangkok International Airport, Thailand. Of one hundred and forty-seven passengers and 18 crewmembers on board, ten passengers and four cabin crews sustained injuries. In which one passenger suffered spinal cord injury. All injured persons were sent to local hospital.
