Description

On February 4 2009, 1634 Taipei local time, UNI Airways Flight B7652, a DASH-8-300 aircraft, registration number B-15239, performed a scheduled passenger flight from MaGong airport to Tainan airport, Taiwan. There were 50 passengers, 2 flight crewmembers and 2 cabin crewmembers on board. The aircraft encountered no. 1 engine fire warning during the takeoff roll. The flight crew aborted the takeoff and stopped the aircraft on the runway.


One passenger was minor injured. The engine damage includes no. 6&7 bearing oil supply lines broken, overheat mark at access panels, blades dent with debris and oil stain at LPT stage, 1st PT blades broken, 2nd PT blades broken.
