Description

On June 03, 2013, at 2347 UTC China Airlines Flight number CI 781, an Airbus A330-300 aircraft with registration number B-18317, departed from RCTP （Taoyuan International Airport, Taipei, Taiwan） to VVTS （Tansonhat International Airport, Hochiminh, Vietnam）, with 200 occupants on board including 185 passengers and 15 crew members. ECAM message “AIR ENG 2 BLEED FAULT” was displayed at 1500 feet after departure. Reset ENG 2 BLEED system during cruise at FL 400 without success. ECAM message “AIR ENG 1 BLEED FAULT” was displayed during descent when passing FL 380 and ECAM message “EXCESS CAB ALT” was displayed later. Flight crewmembers conducted an emergency descent and landed safely at Tansonhat International Airport with no person injured. The Authority of state of occurrence, Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam delegated the investigation of the subject incident to Aviation Safety Council, Taiwan on June 03, 2013.
