Description

On November 28, 2025, at 1715 Taipei time, a National Air Service Corps (NASC) AS365 N3 helicopter, registration NA-108, departed Taichung Cing-Cyuan-Gang Airport (RCMQ) for an offshore night vision goggles training mission. At 1828, while positioned two nautical miles off the mouth of the Dajia River, the crew observed smoke emanating from beneath the center instrument panel. The crew maintained stable flight, executed emergency procedures, and initiated an immediate return to base. The aircraft landed safely at RCMQ at 1834. All crew members were unharmed, and the aircraft sustained no further damage.
