Description

On August 1, 2018, at 1511 Taipei time, a Dachuan cargo ship owned by the Chinese Gaojin Shipping Co., Ltd., registration number 014879, with gross tonnage 992, departed from Kaohsiung Port, and its destination was Kinmen Wuqiu port. At about 1720 the next day, the cargo ship arrived at Wuqiu Port for unloading, and the hull was flooded during the unloading operation, causing the hull to list and sink. At about 1823, all 13 crew members on board were rescued and landed, and no one was injured; there were about 10 tons of heavy oil and 27 tons of light diesel oil on board, and no chemicals or dangerous goods were carried.
