Description
On August 4, 2019, a Kaohsiung registered ocean-going fishing vessel Huasheng 668, with 1,200 gross tonnages, owned by Huawei Fishery Co., Ltd., was fishing about 300 NM off the coast of the Kuril islands of Russia in the North Pacific Ocean. During the fishing operation, the cabin caught fire. Due to the fierce fire, 62 crew onboard evacuated urgently, and none were injured.
