A Chien Chuan Tourist Bus Hit the Inner Lane Guardrail Then Collided with a Passenger Car on Gukeng Section of National Highway No.3
Description
On October 21, 2023, at 09:42 A.M., a commercial motor carrier operated by Chien Chuan Transportation Ltd. collided with a passenger car and hit the roadside wall at southbound 263.7 km of Freeway No. 3. Four occupants died and 22 passengers sustained injuries in this occurrence.
Stage
The Taiwan Transportation Safety Board (TTSB) received the notification at 10:09 A.M. on the same day and identified that this event was a major highway occurrence per the Transportation Occurrence Investigation Act. The Investigator-In-Charge was assigned and immediately dispatched a Go Team of 6 investigators to the scene to perform a vehicle inspection and collect relevant information.
