According to the CVR transcript and the flight crew interview, FEA306 began to descend from FL 390 to FL310 after receiving an instruction from the controller of the Incheon Area Control Center (ACC). During descending through FL340 (34,020feet), the FEA306 crew heard TCAS Traffic Advisory (TA) warning sound, and identified the conflicting traffic on the ND display. Right after the sound of T.A, the controller instructed FEA306 to stop descending and corrected to descend immediately in a continuous manner. The controller subsequently instructed another traffic, THA659 to turn right 270 from present heading immediately. Some Seconds later, the FEA306 crew found TCAS Resolution Advisory (RA) warning. The captain executed a TCAS avoidance maneuver following the descent R.A warning. After the avoidance maneuver, 4 passengers sustained serious injuries, and 17 passengers and 5 cabin crew sustained minor injuries. The aircraft landed at Jeju International Airport safely.
