Description

On June 30, 2017, the National Airborne Service Corps, Ministry of Interior （NASC）, one UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, registration number NA-703, conducted a search and rescue joint training at offshore of Taichung Harbor. There were 3 pilots, 3 crew chief and 3 rescuer, total 9 people aboard. At about 1105 in the morning, during the 3rd training session, the 2 rescuers（one from Coast Guard Administration, Executive Yuan （Coast Guard） and one from National Fire Agency, Ministry of Interior （Fire Agency）） fell into the ocean due to the hook was separated from the hoist system. Two rescuers sustained minor and severe injuries. They were rescued and send to hospital by the nearby guarding Coast Guard boat. The helicopter turned back to Taichung/Qingquan Kong Airport at 1120.
