Description

On May.11, 2006, Korean Air flight number KE0691, an AIRBUS A300-B4622R aircraft with registration number HL-7297, departed from Incheon Airport, Korea at 0846 local time(GMT+7)to CKS Airport, Taipei. The flight departed with128 occupants on board include 117 passengers, 9 cabin crews and 2 flight crews. While Cruised at FL 320, 30 NM south of SALMI. The KE0691 encountered a Cabin Press. Fault message at about 0217 UTC time and the cabin Altitude vertical speed was increased to 2000 ~3000 FPM with the cabin ALT. up to about 10K ft. The flight crew executed emergency decent by following the QRH, the passenger oxygen masks were dropped automatically during emergency descent. The aircraft was level-off at 10k ft and the cabin pressure control was recovered after the flight crew reset the system. The aircraft landed safe at CKS airport. No aircraft damage and person injury were reported.
