Description
On August 17, 2019, a Taichung Port-registered fishing boat Shun Yu No. 1, registration number CT4001613, with a gross tonnage of 79.19, with four crew members on board (1 Taiwanese and 3 Indonesian), departed from Hsinchu Nanliao Fishing Port at 1001 hours. At 1320 hours on August 18, a fire broke out about 0.3 miles outside the north embankment of Nanliao Fishing Port in Hsinchu. After abandoning the ship, all four crew members on board were rescued safely, and the boat sank.
