On January 29, 2023, a fishing boat named "Jinshengfa No. 13", with CT number CT3-4991, sank after catching fire at 21 nautical miles southeast of Suao Harbor in Yilan County. The skipper and 4 crews on board were rescued by other fishing vessel and there were no casualties.
